What Exactly is Life Coaching? Do I really need it?
Coaching Basics
Coaching is for healthy people who are challenged. I provide questions, observations, feedback, and support within a collaborative relationship to help you change your thinking and create action plans for achievement. Life coaching is not clinical therapy. If you need help from a licensed medical professional, please see one.

My Approach to Coaching
I take a holistic, integrated approach to coaching. You’re made of mind, body, and spirit. As human beings, the issues we face impact us in all three areas to some degree. So your growth is determined by how much of the work you desire to do. When you think about it, that can be overwhelming. The challenge can be tough. But you don’t have to tackle all three areas at once in order to see progress. This is your journey. I’m here to support you along the way. (Watch the video for more.)
Defining Kingdom Identity, Setting Boundaries, & Mindfulness
Most of us assume our identity is how our family, friends, co-workers, society, and culture have defined us. The overwhelming messages are negative and false. We are defined by what God says. When we accept our true identity, it becomes easier to set boundaries, create satisfaction in work and focus on the joy of life in the present.
Having an Active Vision, Critical Thinking Skills & Effective Goal Setting
There is no progress without first having a vision. Then the vision must be written to activate it (Habukkuk 2:2). I discuss the vital importance of a clear, active vision, developing critical thinking skills to make decisions that align with the vision, which leads to effective goal setting.
Interpersonal Communication, Implementing Core Values & Work/Life Integration
Clear communication minimizes misunderstanding. Do your words convey what you mean? Your words demonstrate core values. Are those values ones you desire or do they create stress for your employees? I discuss the connection between interpersonal communication, core values and the ability for your employees to enjoy work/life integration — which is greater than “balance” (Proverbs 16:13).

My staff struggled with knowing they had good things to bring to my agency. You showed us why we struggled in certain areas and initiated the breakthrough for my staff to move forward, not just on the job, but in their personal lives, as well. As a result, my mom who worked for me at the time, was emotionally and spiritually healed from things in her past. She went on to write a book. Another staff member turned her side business into a full-time career and is planning a move out of the country to seek greater purpose and I was able to recognize the greater call on my life.
You talked about the call of God on our lives and how we must operate like children of the Most High. This helped me realize my worth and how important I am to the Kingdom of God. You allowed me to express myself via poetry and challenged me to reach for higher goals. As a result, I’ve progressed in my business, poetry and personal life..
When just starting our women’s mentoring program, we needed sound foundational teaching on identity so the women could identify who they were and their value. You helped the women understand their identity in Christ and the importance of knowing who they are. We were able to assess and get a baseline for those entering into the program. They were given tools and exercises to make them aware of areas where their identity was lost. As a result, there has been growth and identification of who or what they may be purposed to do. They gained skills and confidence in themselves.
